How We Text, and How You Opt In

G.O.A.T's Arena Sports Bar & Restaurant sends transactional text messages only: no marketing and no promotions. Messages come from (940) 818-2444. We text only people who opted in through one of the two methods below. We never use purchased or third-party lists.

A separate staff program, Venue edits by text, for our own owners and managers, is described at the end of this page.

1. Guests: our website contact form

On goatsarena.us/contact, a guest enters their name, email, mobile number, preferred location and message. Under the message is an SMS consent checkbox. It is unchecked by default, and the form can be sent without checking it. We text a guest only if they checked it. The checkbox reads:

"I agree to receive transactional SMS (reservation confirmations, callbacks) from G.O.A.T's Arena at the number provided. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help. See Privacy and Terms."

"Privacy" and "Terms" link to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. Guests who opt in may get a reply to their request or a confirmation of a reservation a manager has made for them.

2. Staff: manager alert sign-up

When a guest calls one of our locations, our phone receptionist may take a reservation request or a message, or transfer the call. When that happens, we text the on-duty store manager so they can call the guest back. These alerts go only to G.O.A.T's Arena managers who signed up in writing. Each manager fills in the form below with their own mobile number and signs it, and the owner keeps the signed form on file. Signing up is not a condition of employment.

Frequency, cost and opting out

Frequency: varies. Guests get messages only about their own request. Managers get one alert per guest call that needs them.
Cost: message and data rates may apply.
Opt out: reply STOP to any message. You will get one confirmation and no further texts. Reply START to resubscribe.

Privacy: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with, or sold to, any third parties or affiliates.

Venue edits by text (owners and managers only)

Venue edits by text is a separate program from the guest and manager alert texts above. It uses a dedicated number for venue edits, not our guest line. A venue's own owners and managers text that number to propose a change to the venue's specials, or to its hours for one day, and we reply. These texts go only to that venue's owners and managers: never to guests, and they are never marketing or promotional.

How you opt in: the business owner adds an owner's or manager's mobile number to that person's account, and the person confirms it: we text a 6-digit code to that number and the person, signed in to their own account, types it back within 10 minutes. (The business owner may instead confirm their own number directly.) A number that has not been confirmed this way gets no texts, and texts from it get no reply. Texts from other staff get no reply.
What the messages are: besides that one confirmation code, only replies to your own texts. When you text a change, we reply with the exact change and a code, and nothing is published until you reply YES with that code within 10 minutes; NO drops it. After YES we confirm it was published, and you can reply UNDO within 24 hours to get a proposal that takes it back. We may also reply that an edit expired, was dropped, or can't be done by text, or ask for a missing detail.
Message frequency: besides the confirmation code, we text only in reply to your own texts, and we act on at most 20 of your texts a day; past that, you get one "limit reached today" reply for the day.
Cost: Message and data rates may apply.
Opt out: reply STOP (or CANCEL, END or QUIT) to any message. It stops every message from that number to you, and drops any edit waiting for your YES. Reply START to resubscribe.

Privacy: No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with, or sold to, any third parties or affiliates.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Agreement: confirming your number for this program means you agree to receive these texts on these terms.
