Now Open: G.O.A.T's Arena in Northlake TX

Community6 min read

G.O.A.T's Arena is now open in Northlake TX at 1633 Robson Ranch Rd, just off I-35W. We're serving the same chef-driven menu, craft cocktails, and game-day atmosphere you'd find at our Fairview and Aubrey locations — now closer to the Northlake, Argyle, Trophy Club, Roanoke, and Justin communities. Doors open daily at 3 PM and stay open until midnight, so whether you're cutting out of work early for a Cowboys game or swinging in after a Friday shift for late wings, we've got you covered. Here's what to expect, how to find us, and what to order on your first visit.

Key Takeaways

  • Address: 1633 Robson Ranch Rd, Northlake, TX 76226 — off I-35W near Robson Ranch
  • Hours: Monday through Sunday, 3 PM to midnight — no exceptions for opening month
  • Serves the Northlake, Argyle, Trophy Club, Roanoke, and Justin communities
  • Same menu as Fairview and Aubrey — wings, wagyu burgers, Tex-Mex, flatbreads
  • Brand-new build with a state-of-the-art AV system and the biggest viewing wall in the bar

Where to Find the Northlake Location

Our Northlake spot sits on Robson Ranch Rd, a short drive from I-35W and easy to hit whether you're coming down from Denton or up from Roanoke. If you've been frustrated by the drive to our Aubrey location, this one cuts your trip significantly — most of our regulars from Argyle and Trophy Club are telling us they shaved fifteen to twenty minutes off their old route. Parking is on-site with plenty of room, and the lot is well-lit for late nights.

The building itself is brand-new. This is our fourth location, and we got to design it from the ground up — that means sight lines from every seat, an AV setup that's been tuned for live sports rather than retrofitted into an older space, and a bar layout that actually works during a full-house UFC night. If you've been to our other locations and wished the screens were easier to see from the back booths, I think you'll appreciate what we did here.

First visit? Call ahead for parties of eight or more — we can't take reservations, but giving the team a heads-up helps us get seating ready. Our number is 940-271-0038.

For folks coming from Justin or Roanoke, the quickest route is down FM-407 to I-35W South — exit at Robson Ranch Rd and you'll see us on the right. Northlake locals, you already know the area. Trophy Club residents have a straight shot up SH-114 to I-35W. The location was picked specifically because it sits at the intersection of five growing communities that didn't have a serious sports bar option nearby.

What's on the Menu

The kitchen here runs the same program as our other locations, which means wings smoked in-house, wagyu burgers, and a Tex-Mex section that's gotten us a lot of repeat visitors. I've managed sports bars across DFW for years, and one thing I've learned is that customers notice when the kitchen cuts corners. We don't — everything's made from scratch, and the team in Northlake was trained at our Fairview kitchen before opening day.

If you're coming in for the first time, my personal order would be the Cheezy Bullets to start, then either the Spicy Fried Chicken burger or a wing count. Wings come in sizes from 6 to 50, with house-made sauces ranging from mild to the kind that requires a commitment. The Lamb Lollipops are the move if you want to try something most sports bars don't even attempt — grilled and pan-seared lamb chops with buttery mashed potatoes. It's a dish that surprises people who walked in expecting standard bar food.

On the drink side, we're pouring a deep beer list with plenty of rotating taps, and the cocktail program is run by the same team that built out our Fairview and Aubrey bars. Happy hour details are still being finalized for Northlake, but expect them to mirror our other locations — ask your bartender on your visit and they'll tell you what's running that week.

The Viewing Experience

Sports is the reason most people come to a sports bar, so I'll be direct about the setup. The centerpiece is a massive viewing wall — the biggest screen in the bar and easily visible from every angle in the main room. We added secondary screens at every seating area, so no matter where you sit, you're watching something. The AV system was custom-built for this space, which means audio zones that actually work: the main game gets the primary audio, but the bar side can play a different event if there's demand.

For the Cowboys this fall, UFC pay-per-views, March Madness, and the FIFA World Cup coming up in June, this is going to be the setup in the area. We run watch parties for every major event, and the private event space can be booked for group viewings if you want to host a game day with coworkers or friends. On weekends, live DJ sets kick off around 9 PM and run until close, which turns the second half of the night into something closer to nightlife than a standard sports bar.

Planning a watch party for a big game? Reach out about our private event space — we've hosted groups of 20 to 80 for major fight nights and championship games.

One thing worth knowing: opening weekends are always busier than normal, and Friday and Saturday nights between 7 and 10 fill up fast. If you want guaranteed seating, aim for Tuesday through Thursday evenings, or come in right when we open at 3 PM on a weekend. The patio area is another option if the main room is packed — it's covered and has outdoor TVs.

Events and Weekly Specials

The weekly specials you'd find at our other locations are running in Northlake too. Wild Wing Wednesdays bring discounted wings and a full house — it's consistently our busiest midweek night across all locations, and I'd expect the same here once word spreads. Taco Tuesdays are the quieter, more laid-back option if you want a cheaper meal and a lower-key atmosphere.

Friday and Saturday nights are DJ nights. The music leans toward hip-hop, Latin, and Top 40, with the energy building up through the evening. If you're here for the game early and thinking about staying for the night scene, it's a natural transition — the same crowd that came in for the 7 PM matchup ends up sticking around once the DJ starts. Sundays are all about football during NFL season, and we run NFL Sunday Ticket across every screen.

For families and groups, weekday afternoons and early evenings are the best time to visit. The atmosphere is more relaxed, food comes out faster, and there's almost always a table available. Kids are welcome during these hours, and we've got menu options that work for younger appetites.

Why We Picked Northlake

Northlake's been one of the fastest-growing communities in North Texas, and when we looked at where our Aubrey and Fairview customers were driving from, a huge chunk came from the I-35W corridor. Opening here means those regulars don't have to drive thirty minutes anymore, and it gives the Argyle, Trophy Club, Roanoke, and Justin neighborhoods a dedicated sports bar that isn't a chain.

We're local. Our Fairview location has been around long enough that we know our regulars by name, and that's what we're building in Northlake too. The staff was hired from the area, the kitchen team trained at our flagship, and the goal from day one is for this to feel like a neighborhood spot within six months — not a corporate chain that happened to open nearby.

If you live in one of the five communities we're serving and you've been waiting on a proper place to catch a game, grab wings, and have a real cocktail, this is it. Come in, order something, and let the staff know what you think. We're still tuning the operation, and honest feedback during the first month is how we get it right for the long haul. We'll see you at 1633 Robson Ranch Rd.
